cellar / packaging

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with canning/packing beer on our Wild Goose canning line
  • Operate keg washer
  • Clean/fill kegs
  • General cellar operations including: Harvesting and pitching yeast, dry-hopping, cleaning,
  • Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, and then a little more cleaning…
  • Assisting brewers as needed
  • Prepare brew days by weighing and milling grain
  • Forklift operation – on site training available
  • Regular and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain quality control and safety standards
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
 
 IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must have an interest or passion for working in the craft beer industry, but no experience is required
  • Work safely with varying chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations
  • Able to stand, walk, kneel on a regular basis
  • Able to work in hot, cold, wet, and loud environments
  • Able to lift 55 pounds and move 160 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to work a rotating shift schedule
  • Able to work in a team atmosphere while maintaining individual tasks and responsibilities
  • Must have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and follow management direction
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply new procedures and skills
 
 

bREWER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, and adhere to all safety protocols and SOPs
  • Wort production on a 30bbl brewhouse
  • Operation of our centrifuge
  • Fermentation monitoring, including gravities, cell counts, and pH measurements
  • Fermenter and Brite Tank CIP
  • Dry hopping and other beer additions
  • Milling & Grain Handling
  • Yeast handling & pitching
  • Proper documentation of all tasks performed
  • Accurate data entry of operations into EKOS
  • Forklift & pallet jack operation

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 1+ years of brewing experience in a production facility
  • Formal brewing education (preferred)
  • Strict attention to detail and quality
  • Mechanical aptitude, basic problem solving, and math skills
  • Excellent computer and communication skills
  • Ability to work individually, as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to prioritize with minimal direction
  • Work safely with varying chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations
  • Able to stand, walk, kneel on a regular basis
  • Able to work in hot, cold, wet, and loud environments
  • Able to lift 55 pounds and move 160 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to work a rotating shift schedule
  • Valid driver’s license
 

DETAILS

  • Potential for Full or Part Time positions available. Pay is hourly (+ tips for taproom positions)
  • Work week depends on position. (Brewery positions are typically 10 hour work day, Mon-Thurs w/ occasional Weekends as required, Taproom typically 8-10 hour work day)
  • Must be 21 years old

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch
  • Heavy physical work including climbing ladders, pushing pallets of grain, etc
  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
  • Ability to handle heavy objects safely – Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and routinely maneuver full kegs
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with safety protocols
