Here at Lost Cabin Beer Co, we are really into beer, but we’re also really into adventuring in the Black Hills and try to do our part to be good stewards. One might even say we give a hoot. Earlier this week the LC crew set out to pick up litter from some of the more childish members of our community who still probably have their moms clean up after them. Littering is lame. Don’t be a jerk.

We are all public land owners, so we decided to do a little house cleaning. This clean-up targeted the Victoria Lake Rd area. From bistro tables to computer monitors, tires to shattered bottles used for target practice, we picked up a lot of junk. There is also a free Mongoose mountain bike if you want one, but it’s going to need some parts (like, every part). If you are utilizing the outdoors in any capacity, we urge you to be responsible and leave no trace.

On a lighter note, we had a few beers and enjoyed the natural beauty of the Black Hills – even did a little trail maintenance for good measure. We are always amazed at just how lucky we are to call the Black Hills home. Next time we adventure out to collect trash, we might ask a few friends to join us! So keep an eye on our social media pages for an invite. Can’t wait for us to schedule the next clean up? No worries! There is plenty of trash littering our trails, lakes, and creeks. The next time you’re out, bring a garbage bag and pickup anything you see (including the beer cans you will be emptying out). In addition, if you’re out and about and stumble onto a particularly heinous, trash filled area, feel free to shoot us a line via carrier pigeon, or email info@lostcabin.beer. We will dispatch our rubbish wrangling crew and clean it up, hell, there might even be a free beer or two waiting for you at the brewery.
