Why make beer for an acronym?

ALS is more than just three letters. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It currently effects over 30,000 people in the US with 5,000 new cases being diagnosed every year.

Since 2013, Ales for ALS has been trying to put a stop to this malicious disease, and all you have to do to help is drink a pint of any beer made for the program and a dollar will be donated to help ending ALS. With over $1,750,000 raised to date, it’s fair to say that the program has been a great success (and that you are a thirsty bunch)!

Lost Cabin and ALS

For the past two years we have expanded our focus from local issues to an international one with the Ales for ALS program. Here’s how it works… They provide a blend of hops, and each brewery partaking makes a different beer, leaving us all connected through a common blend, but allowing us all to make our own special creations to tantalize your taste buds and help to end ALS. We loved our brew last year and decided to keep the blend of Ekuanot, Simcoe, Loral, and HBC experimental hops in the foreground with another Hazy IPA, the Ultimate Warrior! Huge shout out to YCH hop farms for providing a unique hop blend, free of charge, to breweries worldwide every year in support of this awesome cause. You can also help spread awareness while drinking an Ales for ALS beer by using #alesforals on any social media site. Justify your thirst with charity this season, Ultimate Warrior will only be around for a limited time![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”justified” images=”8572,8577,8573″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
